10899031_975386105828627_1850187201_nWhen you here the name Kanye West, a lot of things come to mind, like seriously a lot. There is the designer, the crazy hip hop artiste, the husband to Kim Kardashian, the record producer, Jay-Z’s friend, the father to the adorable baby North, the guy who made American sweetheart Taylor Swift cry at the MTV Video Music Awards and he is now running for presidency in the year 2020.

The tittle i went with, is his the name of his first debut song. West wrote and recorded the song with his jaw wired shut after a car accident in October 2002. The song samples Chaka Khan‘s 1985 single “Through the Fire” and was released on the last day of September in 2003 as the lead single from his debut album The College Dropout (2004).

On October 23, 2002, West was in a California recording studio producing music for Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk, and The Black Eyed Peas. After leaving the studio at around 3 a.m. in his rented Lexus, he had a near-fatal accident when he was cut off by a car, ran head-on into traffic, and collided with another car near the W Hotel. He was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, mentioned in the song as “the same hospital where Biggie Smalls died,” and had his jaw wired to his face in reconstructive surgery. Two weeks after being admitted to hospital, he recorded the song at the Record Plant Studios with his jaw still wired shut. The song’s title refers to the wires used to hold his broken jaw together. When asked about how the incident changed his music, West stated:

Well, the only thing this accident’s is saying is, “I am about to hand you the world, just know at any given time I can take it away from you.” To nearly lose your life, to nearly lose your mouth, your voice, your whole face, as a rapper…and I had to be on TV! My face looks crazy to me now… But I have to just thank God for the situation that I am in… “Through The Wire” is the worst thing that could’ve possibly happen to me, and now it’s obviously the best thing. Look how it exploded!

After this he was signed to the Roc-A-Fella_Records headed by his friend Jay-Z and had a great career, but all this nearly went down the drain during the 2009 Video Music Awards. When they were announcing the best female video, which 19 year old Taylor Swift had won and had started giving her speech, Kanye came to the stage and literally took the mic out of her hands and said ‘Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you, I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.’

Kanye made Taylor cry and was booed by the people in the stadium. This really made him the most hated guy in the world. Even POTUS himself called him an jackass.

But this never deterred him, he continued doing his thing, making songs, designing clothes and shoes.

Years went, and he met and married Kim K, and now have a beautiful baby daughter, and they are expecting another child. He is now recognized as one of the best music producers, and a great designer and his new shoes yeezy boost are selling out in stores everywhere, and when he was receiving the Vanguard Award at the 2015 Video Music Award from Taylor Swift he announced that he will be running for presidency come the year 2020.

This guy is literally an inspiration, he went from having a fatal accident that nearly ruined his life, to being the most hated guy in the world, to be the recognized as a great designer and a music producer to running for presidency.

I know sometimes life is hard for literally everyone, but never loose hope or give up, if you want something go for it and never stop  till you get it. Also never forget to live, breath, love and always dress well as Kanye does.
